What are the AI judges?

The six judges — God, Buddha, Guanyin, Yama, Zeus, and the Jade Emperor — are fictional AI personas, each with a distinct character and judgment style. They are powered by DeepSeek AI and do not represent any real religious authority.

Is my confession private?

Your confession text is sent to DeepSeek AI solely to generate a verdict. It is not stored on our servers. The verdict is saved locally on your device only. If you enable iCloud Sync (Pro), your data is synced through Apple's encrypted CloudKit infrastructure.

What does Pro unlock?

Pro gives you access to all six judges, the Daily Oracle card, the Memory Graph (which lets judges remember your past confessions), and optional iCloud sync across your devices.

How do I delete my data?

Open the app, go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all local confessions, favorites, and memory records. Deleting the app from your device also removes all local data immediately.

iCloud sync isn't working

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud on your device and that iCloud Drive is enabled. In the app, go to Settings → iCloud Sync and toggle it on. iCloud Sync requires an active Pro subscription. After enabling, restart the app once to apply.

How do I restore my purchase?

Tap Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Subscriptions restore automatically when you sign in.

Cyber Confession is developed by an independent developer (fwqaaq). The app requires no account, displays no advertisements, and is designed to keep your data on your device by default.

Data We Collect

Confession text — entered by you and sent to DeepSeek AI to generate a verdict. It is transmitted over HTTPS and is not retained on our servers after the response is returned.
App preferences — settings such as language, selected judge, and tone are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults.
In-app purchase status — managed by Apple App Store and StoreKit. We receive only entitlement status from Apple; we never see your payment details.
iCloud data (optional, Pro only) — when you enable iCloud Sync, your confessions, favorites, and memory records are synced through Apple CloudKit. This data is encrypted by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

DeepSeek AI (deepseek.com) — processes your confession text to generate the judge's verdict. Please review DeepSeek's privacy policy for details on how they handle API requests.
Apple CloudKit — powers optional iCloud sync. Data is stored in your private CloudKit database, accessible only to you.
Apple StoreKit — manages purchases, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and restore status through your Apple ID.

Data Retention

Local data (confessions, favorites, memory) remains on your device until you delete it in Settings or uninstall the app. DeepSeek AI does not retain API request content after returning a response. If you disable iCloud Sync, your CloudKit data is removed from Apple's servers.

Children's Privacy

Cyber Confession is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

You can delete all your local data at any time via Settings → Delete All Data. You can remove iCloud-synced data by disabling iCloud Sync in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device.
